Marjorie J. Purdy, age 100 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Meadowwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Marjorie was born May 5, 1910 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late Alva and Ada (Hanselman) Johnson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - Carl Robert Purdy in 1997 and one sister - Gwendolyn Miller.
Mrs. Purdy is survived by two daughters - Eleanor Purdy and Carolyn Tucker both of Georgetown, Ohio; one granddaughter - Joan Shipley of Pataskala, Ohio and one great granddaughter - Chelsea Shipley of Pataskala, Ohio.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Tom Friskney will officiate. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 4360 Glendale-Milford Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242, ABCAP, 406 West Plum Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121 or the donor's choice. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
