Mary Jane Schweickart

Mary Jane Schweickart, age 82, of Bethel, Ohio died Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. Mrs. Schweickart was a retired obstetrical nurse. Mary Jane the little red haired angel of mercy assisted with many births during her 30 years as OB Supervisor at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mary touched the lives of many residents of Adams, Brown, Clermont and Highland Counties. She is remembered as a kind and compassionate mother, friend and caregiver. She was also active in the Bethel United Methodist Church as a choir member for many years. She was born in Fincastle, Ohio on March 29, 1922 the daughter of the late Edward and Jossie (Rhoten) Schweickart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Schweickart, one son, Ricky Schweickart; three brothers - Tom, Woodrow and Junior and two sisters - Sylvia and Irma.

Mrs. Schweickart is survived by three sons - Michael (Cathy) Schweickart, Dan (Jackie) Schweickart and Sean Schweickart, all of Florida; four grandsons - Aaron, Andy, Chris and Steve; 5 great grandchildren and one brother, Paul Rhoten of Madison, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 13, 2005 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Lowell Crabtree will officiate. Visitation will be from 12-2 P.M. Sunday. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church in Bethel, Ohio.
