Mary Jane Womacks

Mary Jane Womacks, age 81of Georgetown, Ohio died Friday, June 10, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Womacks was a homemaker, and the proprietor of JW Uniform Outlet and Brown County Storage. She was a long standing member of the Georgetown Church of Christ and will be remembered for delivering hundreds of “Sonshine Baskets” accompanied by encouraging words to the sick and struggling. She was born February 3, 1935 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late James William and Bessie (Liming) Myers. She was also preceded in death by two brothers – Charles and John Myers.

Mrs. Womacks is survived by her husband of fifty-six years – Wayne Womacks, whom she married September 19, 1959; one son – William Womacks and wife Maggie and one daughter – Lynn Shafer and husband Dennis all of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren – Alexandra and Adam Womacks, Erin Suter and husband Brent and Lauren Shafer all of Cincinnati, Ohio; one great granddaughter – Kora Jane Klingensmith; two sisters-in-law – Wanda Myers and Jeanette Myers both of Georgetown, Ohio; one niece – Carol Myers, one nephew – Jim Myers and wife Frieda and dear friend Kim Scheffler.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio. Scott Hennig and Kevin Whitsett will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
