Michael Dean Gast, age 61 of Aberdeen, Ohio, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Meadowview Regional Hospital in Maysville, Kentucky. He was a machine operator at Emerson Power Transmission and a Vietnam War Army veteran. Michael was born September 28, 1949 in Maysville, Kentucky, the son of the late Ray and Ruby (Wilson) Gast. He was also preceded in death by one brother - Tom Gast.
Mr. Gast is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years - Lisa (Black) Gast, one daughter - Elizabeth Hoggatt and husband Doug of Wilmington, Ohio, one step-daughter - Jessica Black of Lisbon, Ohio, one grandson - Aiden Hoggatt and two brothers - Bob Gast of Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Denny Gast of Aberdeen, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
