Mildred Elizabeth Wiederholt Teeter, age 74, died Monday, August 20, 2007 in Montgomery City, MO. She was born November 22, 1932 to Edward and Rose Miller Wiederholt. Mildred graduated from Jefferson High School at Conception Junction, MO. She married Elwood Teeter in 1958 in the courthouse in Bethany, MO. Eleven years later they had their church wedding. They were married 34 great years until Mr. Teeter preceded her in death on August 30, 1992. Mildred worked at Pioneer Cap for thirty years as a shipping clerk and later worked as a shipping clerk for Swingster for seven years before retiring in 1992. After retirement she worked for Brad's Garden Center for nine years and cleaned houses and businesses until her recent battle with cancer. Mildred also volunteered at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing Home when she lived in OH. Mildred was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Montgomery City, MO, and a member of the Eastern Star. She loved gardening, sewing, baking, working with flowers and volunteering at the Bellflower Elementary School. Millie enjoyed quilting with the ladies of Immaculate Conception Church, she was a project leader for Bellflower Boosters 4-H for the last four years, she was an Earth Team Volunteer for the USDA-NRCS/SWCD Office in Montgomery and Warren County. This spring she was presented the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Montgomery County Soil and Water Conservation District. Millie was known to most all as "Granny". She enjoyed baking and sharing with others. Most of all she enjoyed being with family and friends, of which she had so many. As one friend put it "to know Granny is to love Granny." Granny touched many lives with her warm smile and positive attitude.

Mrs. Teeter was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Rose Miller Wiederholt; her husband Elwood Teeter and sisters and brothers- Loretta Lehmer, Margaret Smith, Gerald Wiederholt, Beatrice Lager, Edwin Wiederholt, Kathleen Campbell and Norbert Wiederholt.

Mrs. Teeter is survived by one daughter, Patricia Swanson and husband, Tom, of Sardinia, OH; two sons- David Teeter and wife, Tammy, of Montgomery City, MO and Merle Teeter and wife, Dawn, of Lumberton, TX; nine grandchildren- Kris Swanson, Cassie Downing and husband Jamie, Beth Eyre and husband Brad, Katie and Sophie Teeter, Megan and Josh Mackenzie and Nicholas Teeter; one great-granddaughter, Abigail; one great-grandson, Landon; sister, Deloris Umphry and husband Francis, of Stanberry, MO; two brothers- Leroy Wiederholt and wife Joyce, of Stanberry, MO and Marvin Wiederholt and wife Carmelita, of Ravenwood, MO; sister-in-law, Margie Williams of Hamilton, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. A wake service was held on Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Arnheim, OH at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Robert Mauntel will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 at Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, OH from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Interment will be in the St. Mary Church Cemetery in Arnheim.

Casketbearers include Bobby Burns, Tom Swanson, Brad Greene, Kris Swanson, Jamiel Downing and Brad Eyre. Honorary casketbearers include Marvin and Leroy Wiederholt.
