Milford L. Fisher

Milford L. Fisher, age 79 of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a banker, village administrator and a land developer. Mr. Fisher was a United States Army veteran stationed in Panama and a member of the Carey Bavis American Legion Post # 180 in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born November 6, 1931 in Brown County, Ohio to the late Lorene (Fisher) Mann. Mr. Fisher is also preceded in death by one grandmother - Clara Fisher and one step father - Newton Mann.

Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife - Alice Fisher of Georgetown, Ohio; two sons - Brent Fisher and wife Susan of Houston, Texas and Craig Fisher and wife Lori of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren - Preston and wife Paulette, Perri, Brittany, and Chantal and one half-sister - Linda Taylor of Adams County, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Mike Starkey will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio with veteran services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Nebo Methodist Church building fund, The Georgetown Presbyterian Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
