Nathan G. "Pete" Martin, age 76 of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, formerly of Ripley, Ohio died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio. He worked in construction and was a United States Army Korean War veteran. Pete was born November 5, 1932 in Ripley, Ohio, the son of the late Glen and Lucille (Cochran) Martin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Martin in 1962.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Mary (Shirden) Martin; six children - Keith Martin and wife Cathy of Blanchester, Ohio; Jeff Martin and wife Cat of Milford, Ohio; Debbie Martin of Bullhead, Arizona; Carol Meiers and husband Tom of Pleasant Plain, Ohio; Julie Roosa and Tina Palmer and husband of Rob, all of Maineville, Ohio; seven grandchildren - Shannon and Tommy Meiers, Morgan and Jeremy Roosa, Joseph Vancleave and Kyle and Robbie Palmer; two brothers - Tom Martin and wife Joyce of Georgetown, Ohio and Ralph Martin and wife Janet of New Hope, Pennsylvania and two sisters - Jane Henry of Cincinnati, Ohio and Doris Cooper of Ripley, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Wayne Reveal will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorial contribution may be made to the Hospice of Cincinnati - Blue Ash, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
