Norma J. Downey

Norma Jean Downey, age 81 of Milford, Ohio and formerly of Mt.Orab, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Arbors in Milford, Ohio. She was born January 9, 1944 in Goshen, Ohio the daughter of the late Walter and Clara Rebecca (Wood) Brown. Norma was a factory employee before transitioning into a cherished role as a school bus driver for the Western Brown School District. For 12 years, she served the community with great commitment, ensuring the safety and well-being of countless children. Her contributions to both the workforce and the local community will forever be remembered by those who knew her. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – Blaise Downey, one son – Douglas Cook, one daughter – Rebecca Stith, four brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Downey is survived by two children – Rick Theiryoung and wife Kay of Batavia, Ohio and Cindy Jamison of Bethel, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Tara Hecktor and husband Kris, Krista Trammel and husband Matt, Eric Jamison, Stephanie Little and husband Caleb, Summer Jamison and husband Matt Davidson, Sophie Jamison, Joshua Stith and wife Brandy and Justin Stith and wife Savannah; seventeen great grandchildren – Kyler, Leo, Bowen and Cooper Hecktor, Kinley and Ava Trammel, Whitley and Wyler Jamison, Lillie Little, Kylie Phillips, Aubrey, Kane, Kolin, Aiden, Axton and Arlianne Stith and Abigail Mosbarger and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Mt.Orab Cemetery in Mt.Orab, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
