Opal May Cooper, age 83 of Hamersville, Ohio died Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Meadowwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a retired server for the kitchen at the Ohio State University. Opal was born on March 18, 1925 in High Coal, West Virginia the daughter of the late Lloyd George and Katherine Olive (Delknap) Adams. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Thomas Cooper.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by two sons- Jerry Cooper and wife Olivia of Hamersville, Ohio and Lester Cooper and wife Nancy of Decatur, Ohio; two daughters- Shirley Marlatt and husband William of Columbus, Ohio and Rosemary Mundy and husband Donald of Vero Beach, Florida; nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Charles Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio
