Opal Mae Hile, age 91 of Ripley, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Hospice Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Kentucky. She was a lifelong farmer. Mrs. Hile was born November 15, 1923 in Lewis County, Kentucky the daughter of the late John and Rebecca (Stone) Rickett. She was also preceded in death by two husbands – Walter Hamm in 1967 and Ray Hile in 1993; one daughter – Mary Lucille Conley; one stepdaughter – Ruth Ann Brock; two sisters – Daisy and Genevieve.
Mrs. Hile is survived by one son – David H. Hamm (Maria) of Miamisburg, Ohio; two daughters – Rebecca Maxine Gullette of Bainbridge, Ohio and Linda Darlene Matarazzo (John) of Orlando, Florida; two stepdaughters – Martha Jane Taylor (James) of Maysville, Kentucky and Mildred Jean Simmons (Albert) of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; one stepson - Roland Hile (Arliss) of Batavia, Ohio; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; many great grandchildren and one brother – Robert Rickett of Vanceburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Albert Simmons will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Saturday. Interment will follow the funeral service in Wedonia, Cemetery in Wedonia, Kentucky.
