Peter Jon Behling

Peter Jon Behling, age 77 of Mt. Orab, Ohio died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 with his wife and son by his side. He was born February 26, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of the late Hubert and Carolyn Behling. He was also preceded in death by two brothers – Thomas and Robert Behling and wife – Vonnie Behling.  He graduated from Crystal Lake Community High School in 1956 and served in the United States Air Force. Pete loved music, laughter, the mountains of his beloved Colorado, his many pets, a shot of Sliv, and most of all his treasured wife, Irene, and son, Nicholas.  He cherished the time spent his many sisters, brother, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.  He had a big heart and would give you the world If he could.  Pete had a smile that lit up the room and a spirit that touched everyone he met.  He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Behling is survived by his wife – Irene Shampton Behling; one son – Nicholas Behling of Crystal Lake, Illinois; one brother – Rick Behling and wife Millie; four sisters – Karen Christensen, Jean Giordano and husband Robert, Carolyn Guss and husband Ted, Joy Burney and husband Tom; In-Laws – Louis and Mona Shampton and Doris Shampton and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio.  Rev. David Wirth will officiate. There is no visitation.
