Phillip R. Combs

Phillip R. Combs, age 67 of Mt.Orab, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at his residence. He was born August 12, 1959 in Leslie County, Kentucky the son of the late Julius Ceasar and Lottie (Fletcher) Combs. Phill was a United States Army veteran who worked as a forklift operator for Huhtamaki in Batavia, Ohio and was formerly an over-the-road truck driver. Phill was a simple man who found happiness in the things he loved most and lived life in his own way. His greatest joy was riding his motorcycles, feeling the freedom of the open road and the pavement beneath him. Those rides brought him a sense of happiness that was truly his own. Phill was also an avid football fan who never missed a game. He didn’t need to have a favorite team; he simply loved watching the game. When the weather kept him from riding and football wasn’t on, Phill could often be found trying his luck at the casino. He found joy in his own way and it was these simple pleasures that made life special to him. Phill will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him and the memories of his life, his passions and the moments shared with him will forever hold a special place in their hearts. Besides his parents, Phill was preceded in death by one brother – Arnold Combs and one brother-in-law – Herbert “Herbie” Paxton, Jr.

Mr. Combs is survived by four brothers and sisters – Becky Johnson and husband Ralph of Milford, Ohio, Kay Paxton of Mt.Orab, Ohio, Shelby Tydings and wife Phyllis of Concord, North Carolina and Patrick Tydings and wife Tina of Hillsboro, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Phill’s wishes, no services will be held. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
