Ralph Phillip Hodge, age 75 of Sardinia, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Monarch Meadows Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Seaman, Ohio. He was born March 8, 1951 in Portsmouth, Ohio the son of the late Cecil Oakley and Ella (Pollard) Hodge, Sr. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Ralph dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country with honor and commitment. Following his military service, he channeled his skills and passion into becoming a self-employed mechanic, where he was respected for his expertise and trusted by many in his community. Ralph's life was marked by a deep affection for his family. He cherished moments spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, finding great joy in their company and the cherished bonds they shared. His presence was a source of warmth and guidance, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to those who knew him best. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers – Cecil Hodge, Jr., Ronald Hodge Sr. and Clarence Bradley; three sisters – Barbara Amburgey, Violet Lewis and Ann Bartley and three Hodge infants.
Mr. Hodge is survived by three children – Rachel Wright and fiancé Ryan Duncan of Sardinia, Ohio, Tonya Worthington and Phillip Spradlin both of West Portsmouth, Ohio; seven grandchildren – Brianna Whittaker and husband Jack, Haley Horsley and fiancé Austin, Namron Horsley, Selina Horsley and Merle Horsley, III all of Tollesboro, KY and Ashton Duncan and Kempley Wright both of Sardinia, Ohio and four great grandchildren - Harper Horsley of Vanceburg, Kentucky and Jasmin Whittaker, Elijah Fite and Jasper Whittaker all of Tollesboro, Kentucky.
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date with inurnment in the Friendship Cemetery in Friendship, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
