Raymond T. Sims, Sr

Raymond Taylor Sims, Sr., age 74 of Ripley, Ohio, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a self employed painter. Mr. Sims was born on November 21, 1932 in Maysville, Kentucky, the son of the late John and Sarah Jane Huddelston. He was also preceded in death by one son, Raymond T. "Sam Buck" Sims and two grandsons.

Mr. Sims is survived by his longtime companion, Juanita Smith of Ripley and the mother of his children, Shirley Linville Sims; two daughters - Donna Marshall of Ripley, Ohio and Michelle Hicks of Maysville, Kentucky.; three sons - Mike, Billy and Barry Sims, all of Ripley, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
