Rev. James Howard Jackson, age 93 of Mt.Orab, Ohio died Friday April 8, 2016 at the Hospice of Cincinnati-East in Anderson Township. He was retired from the Heekin Can Company, a former minister at the New Freedom Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Sabina Baptist Church in Sabina, Ohio and was a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Jackson was born February 2, 1923 in London, Kentucky the son of the late Rev. James Andrew and Barbara Ann (Hammack) Jackson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife – Della M. (Clark) Jackson, one son – Ronald B. Jackson, one daughter – Barbara J. Upchurch and nine brothers and sisters.

Mr. Jackson is survived by three children – Rev. James Lynnville Jackson and wife Phyllis of Washington Court House, Ohio, Donna J. Hauser and husband Warren of Batavia, Ohio and Alan H. Jackson and wife Susan of Mt.Orab, Ohio; one son-in-law – Martin Upchurch and wife Nancy of Monticello, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Rev. Daron Jackson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt.Orab Cemetery in Mt.Orab, Ohio with a reception to follow at the First Baptist Church in Mt.Orab, Ohio.
