Richard Combs

Richard Combs, age 76 of Sardinia, Ohio died Friday, March 7, 2014 at his residence. He was a retired truck driver for the Brewer Trucking Company, a builder, part-time employee at Gabbard's Mt.Orab Ford and a member of Teamsters Local #100 and the Living Springs Church in Mowrystown, Ohio. Rick was born May 8, 1937 in Lombard, Kentucky the son of the late Levi Combs and Ruth (Creech) Sons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson - Timothy Proffitt; one great grandson - Hunter Neal; six brothers - Clay, Abel, Corsey, Charles, Vernon and Herman Combs and three sisters - Nancy, Sadi and Daisy Combs.
Mr. Combs is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years - Wanda (Griffin) Combs whom he married December 26, 1974; five children - Teresa Proffitt and husband Paul of Williamsburg, Ohio, William Combs of Batavia, Ohio, Jamie Coburn and wife Teresa of Hamersville, Ohio, Brian Coburn and wife Tracie of Sardinia, Ohio, Ricky Combs and fiancAC.e Angie Lanigan of Bethel, Ohio; eleven grandchildren - Amanda Myers and husband Josiah of Williamsburg, Ohio, Jennifer Smith and husband Ben of Williamsburg, Ohio, Stephanie Proffitt of Cincinnati, Ohio, Samantha Combs of Batavia, Ohio, Whitney Dabbs and husband Cory, Kristin Coburn and Anthony Coburn all of Russellville, Ohio, Keith, Kevin and Kerri Coburn all of Sardinia, Ohio and Maddi Lanigan of Bethel, Ohio; six great grandchildren - Bradley and Drew Myers, Emerson Smith, Clayton Coburn and Anna and Kegan Dabbs; two brothers - Joel Combs and Noah Combs and wife Sheryl; four sisters - Velina Hatton and husband Nathan, Emily Baker, Waveline Esteppe and husband Robert and Charlene Conway and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Kevin Hamilton and Craig Walker will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Sardinia Cemetery in Sardinia, Ohio.
