Richard Schafer, Jr.

Richard Douglas Schafer, Jr., age 60 of Higginsport, Ohio died Monday, April 20, 2015 at his residence.  Mr. Schafer was a farmer, worked at Pro Tech and River Downs. He was born June 1, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Richard D. and Virginia Rose (Froelich) Schafer.

Mr. Schafer is survived by one sister – Marilyn Flaugher of Georgetown, Ohio and three nieces – Georgia Flaugher of Georgetown, Ohio, Rose Henson of Felicity, Ohio and Ruth Blanton of Mt. Orab, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Shinkles Ridge Cemetery near Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Richard Schafer Memorial Fund, c/o Marilyn Flaugher.
