Richard L. Shipman

Richard Lewis Shipman, age 74 of Felicity, Ohio died Monday, September 1, 2008 at his residence. He was a retired salesman for the Rainbo Bread Company, an United States Army Veteran and a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. Richard was born on February 7, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Ernest and Carrie (Rhein) Shipman. He was also preceded in death by one sister- Virginia Schone.

Mr. Shipman is survived by his wife - Glenda (Beaty) Shipman; three children - James E. Shipman and wife Tammy of Cape Corral, Florida; Lynn Woulms and husband Terry of Harrison, Ohio and Kevin Shipman of West Harrison, Indiana; two stepchildren - Edsel Denney III of Hamersville, Ohio and Sonya King and husband Doug of Cincinnati, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren - Christina, Amanda, Ryan, Justin, Edsel IV, Daniel, Jimmy, Katie, Ethan, Jessica, Owen, Sarah and Avery; two great-grandchildren - Bailey and Alexis and one brother Robert Shipman and wife Carol of Okeechobee, Florida

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Mike Starkey will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to the Cardiac Rehab Program c/o Mercy Hospital Clermont, 300 Hospital Drive, Batavia, Ohio 45103.
