Robert F. Geschwind

Robert F. Geschwind, age 91 of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Geschwind was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture - tobacco division, after thirty-six years of service. He was a United States World War II Navy veteran, a member of St. George Catholic Church, the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge # 2293. Mr. Geschwind was born April 30, 1923 in Red Oak, Ohio the son of the late Fred and Margaret (Greiner) Geschwind. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife - Betty Lou (Schatzman) Geschwind in 1994, one son - Kenneth Geschwind in 2001, four brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Geschwind is survived by one son - William R. Geschwind and wife Karen of Georgetown, Ohio; two daughters - Jane A. Vance and husband Ronnie of Georgetown, Ohio and Barbie McElroy and husband Rick of Georgetown, Ohio; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, June 6, 2014 at the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Dohrman Byers will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery with veterans services by the Carey-Bavis American Legion Post # 180 of Georgetown, Ohio.
