Robert J. Lock, Sr., age 78 of Sardinia, Ohio and formerly of West Chester, Ohio died Wednesday, at the Batavia Nursing Home in Batavia, Ohio. Mr. Lock, Sr. was a supervisor with the Duro Paper Bag Co., a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the West Fork Baptist Church and the George A. Lambert American Legion Post #755. He was born on January 17, 1930 in Crescentville, Ohio the son of the late Charles Melville and Anna Mae (Jones) Lock. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna May (Brown) Lock in 2002.
Mr. Lock, Sr. is survived by five children - Brenda Rowland of California, John Lock and wife Anne of Batavia, Ohio, Teresea Costa and husband Anthony, and Linda Mooneyham all of Alabama and Robert Lock, Jr. and wife Dawn of Batavia, Ohio. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers - Laurence Lock and wife Priscilla of Williamsburg, Ohio; Charles Lock and wife Ada of Sharonville, Ohio; one sister - Sylvia Bockelman of Hartwell, Ohio and a special friend - Janice Morgan of Arnheim, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio with Rev. Bill Collett officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in the West Fork Church Cemetery near Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd., Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
