Robert L. Rapier
September 22, 1920 — May 24, 2009
Robert L. Rapier, age 88 of Ripley, Ohio, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley. He was a United States Army Air Force WWII Veteran, a member of The First Presbyterian Church in Ripley and enjoyed volunteering at The Ohio Tobacco Museum in Ripley. Mr. Rapier was born on September 22, 1920 in Maysville, KY. the son of the late Jess and Myrtle (Price) Rapier. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Russell) Rapier and two sisters - Dorothy Myall and Virginia Talbott.
Mr. Rapier is survived by his daughter, Susan Rapier of Grove City, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 29, 2009 at The Ripley First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Jim Rawlings will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
