Robert Grant Sowers, age 90 of Winchester, Ohio died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. He was a farmer and a United States WWII Army Veteran where he served in the Battle of the Bulge receiving the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 7 Bronze Stars and 1 Bronze Arrowhead. Grant was born on March 7, 1919 in Byrd Township, Ohio the son of the late William Luther and Berta Jane (Wagner) Sowers.
