Robert Miller Waters

Robert Miller Waters, age 96 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Ohio Veteran Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was retired from the State of Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, a United States WWII Navy veteran, a member of the Georgetown Presbyterian Church, the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 in Georgetown, Ohio and the Georgetown Masonic Lodge F&AM #72, a former clerk for the Georgetown Exempted Village School District for 19 years and the last living original charter member of the F.O.E #2293 in Georgetown, Ohio. Robert was born June 18, 1919 in Felicity, Ohio the only child of the late Willard S. and Grace (Miller) Waters. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife - Virginia (Cochran) Waters in 2002.

Mr. Waters is survived by three children – Joan Ann Baird of San Marcos, California, Cheryl Lynn Turner and husband Bruce of Cincinnati, Ohio and Bob Waters and wife Gail of Georgetown, Ohio; six grandchildren – Sean Baird and wife Margie of Escondido, California, Stacey Ellis and husband David of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sarah Pitman and husband Ben of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, J.D. Turner and wife Katie of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rob Waters and wife Valerie of Cincinnati, Ohio and Lisa Beth Cooper and husband Brian of Fort Mill, South Carolina and fourteen great grandchildren – Ryan and Corey Baird, Megan Ellis, Mollie, Sam and John Pitman, Anna, Luke and Jake Turner, Madelyn, Grant and Trace Waters and Leighton and Easton Cooper.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family Monday, October 26, 2015. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with veteran services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
