Robert Frank "Sandy" Wersel, Jr.

Robert Frank “Sandy” Wersel, Jr., 79 of Ripley, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026 at U.C. Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. He owned and operated Straight Creek Marina near Ripley for thirty plus years. He was born July 31, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Sandy is survived by his wife – Lynn Brooks-Wersel; niece – Jill Ernst of Cincinnati, Ohio sister-in-law – Linda Brooks-Ernst (Dennis) of Cincinnati, Ohio; nephew – Robert Ernst (Brittany) of Cincinnati, Ohio and many boating customers and friends that he met over the years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday. Private interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley.
