Roberta Kay (Higle) Mcfarland

Mrs. Roberta Kay (Higle) McFarland, age 62 of Aberdeen, Ohio, formerly of Ripley, Ohio, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Meadowview Regional Hospital in Maysville, Kentucky. She was a homemaker. Mrs. McFarland was born February 11, 1942 in Ripley, Ohio, the daughter of the late Bruce and Netty (Evans) Higle. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Travis Ramsey; one granddaughter, Saundra Hayes and one sister, Betty Higle.

Mrs. McFarland is survived by her husband, Edward "Butch" McFarland of Aberdeen, Ohio; eight daughters - Debra Waters of Carlisle, Kentucky; Vicki Applegate of Columbus, Ohio; Tammy Applegate of Columbus, Ohio; Connie Croswait and husband, James, of Ridgecrest, California; Elizabeth Bolden and husband, Dale, of Sardis, Kentucky; Julie Brown of Maysville, Kentucky; Teresa Crosby and husband, Clarence, of Maysville, Kentucky; and Maria Ramsey of Maysville, Kentucky; two sons - Terry Gilbert and wife, Leeanna, of Manchester, Ohio and Charles (Bobby) Gilbert of Maysville, Kentucky; thirty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters - Emily Houdeck of Ripley, Ohio and Georgia Loper of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers - Bruce Higle, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; John Higle of Columbus, Ohio and James W. Kessel of Ripley, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 25 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Red Oak Cemetery.
