Roger Lee Bruce, age 81 of Felicity, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, October 8, 2026 at the Hospice of Cincinnati – East Inpatient Care Center in Anderson Township, Ohio. He was born March 2, 1945 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Charles and Gladys (Adams) Bruist. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army after enlisting in 1964. A lifelong farmer and retired welder and fabricator, he was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and found joy in the simple things in life. Roger loved tinkering with tractors and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. He was also a good friend and neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Those who knew Roger knew they could depend on him and his kindness and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on those around him. His life was a testament to hard work, loyalty and the importance of being there for others. Roger will be remembered with great affection and missed more than words can express by all who knew and loved him. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son – Roger Shane Bruce, two sisters – Mary Haas and Loretta Hamilton and one brother – Roy Bruce.

Mr. Bruce is survived by his wife and love of his life – Melanie (Gray) Bruce whom he married September 3, 1966, together they spent 60 wonderful years together; three granddaughters – Sadie Haley and husband Michael of Georgetown, Ohio, Shaunee Adams and husband Wade of Tollesboro, Kentucky and Harley Bruce of Mt.Orab, Ohio; six grandchildren – Camryn, Claire and Lane Haley and Remi, Asher and Tucker Adams; three brothers-in-law – Tim Gray, Jonny Gray and Larry Grohowski; three sisters-in-law – Sharon Layman, Pam and Missi and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Jason Galley will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with military services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio.
