Roger Earl Gifford

Roger Earl Gifford, age 66 of Ripley, Ohio died Friday, October 09, 2015 at his residence. He was a retired laborer, a United States Vietnam War Navy veteran and a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio, the Ripley Boat Club, the Laborers Local #265 and the Courts Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 in Ripley, Ohio. Roger was born October 14, 1948 in Ripley, Ohio the son of the late Robert S. and Geraldine (Gardner) Gifford.

Mr. Gifford is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years – Beverly (Applegate) Gifford whom he married December 3, 1976; two daughters – Leslie (Jason Pfeffer) Miller of Ripley, Ohio and Gretchen (Todd) Stout of Plainfield, Indiana; six grandchildren – Emily and Emerson Miller of Ripley, Ohio and Lydia, Carson, Cambrey and Carys Stout of Plainfield, Indiana; three sisters – Barbara (Larry) Conway of Gahanna, Ohio, Beverly (Julie Renner) Hyden of Cincinnati, Ohio and Roberta (Ray) Armstrong of Ripley, Ohio; one brother – Paul (Sandy Kistler) Gifford of Ripley, Ohio and many special nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday October 13, 2015 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Dohrman Byers will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio with military services by the Courts Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 of Ripley, Ohio.
