Roland W. Barr

Roland W. Barr, age 82 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Care Center at Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio. Roland dedicated twenty-five years of his career to J D Equipment, Inc. and Ag Pro in Wilmington, Ohio. His passion for antique tractors was matched only by his enthusiasm for hunting and his dedication to the buying and selling of farm equipment. As a champion pro stock tractor puller within the National Tractor Pulling Association (NTPA), he left an indelible mark on the sport, achieving numerous victories across the United States and Canada. His legacy as a passionate farmer and tractor enthusiast will be cherished by all who knew him. Roland was born August 31, 1942 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Raymond and Mercedes (Piper) Barr.

Mr. Barr is survived by his wife of forty-nine years – Fonda (Howser) Barr whom he married May 25, 1976; one son – James Barr of Ten Mile, Tennessee; two daughters – Patty Begley and husband Dave of Blanchester, Ohio and Brandi Barr of Spring Lake, Michigan and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Arnheim, Ohio. Rev. Laura Schreffler will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Arnheim, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
