Ronald (Bud) Keith Day

Ronald K. (Bud) Day, age 75 of Ripley, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at The Ohio Veteran's Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a United States Navy Korean War Veteran and a member of American Legion Post # 72 in Mt. Carmel, Ohio. He was also a retired boilermaker. Mr. Day was born on July 4, 1932 in Poetown, Ohio the son of the late Markie H. and Esther M. (Schueler) Day. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Day Scottice.

Mr. Day is survived by three daughters - Peggy Foley of Lynchburg, Ohio, Betsy Roy and Sheila Bartlett, both of McCalla, Alabama; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his former wife, Ann Day of Ripley, Ohio; two brothers - Lynn Day of Indian Hill, Ohio and Eddie Day of Pt. Pleasant, Ohio.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 4, 2008 at Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. Military honors will be provided at the cemetery by The Courts Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 of Ripley, Ohio. A gathering of family and friends will follow the graveside service at The Ohio Veterans home in Georgetown, Ohio.
