Roscoe H. Brown

Roscoe H. Brown, age 71 of Hamersville, Ohio died Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman, Ohio. He was a retired electrician and plumber for the Metropolitan Housing Authority in Batavia, Ohio, A United States Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post # 0224 in Felicity, Ohio. He was born October 7, 1939 in Monticello, Kentucky the son of the late Emile and Ina (Jones) Brown. He was also preceded in death by two sisters - Murle Lawrence and Violet Brown.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife - Betty (Gillman) Brown, three children - Lynne McCord of Hamersville, Ohio, Bill McCord of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Philip Gates of Bethel, Ohio, six sisters - Margie Godsey of Loogoottee, Indiana, Jenny Goldsberry of Corbin, Kentucky, Frances Mercer of Monticello, Kentucky, Linda Morrow of Bloomington, Indiana, Patsy Jett of Richmond, Kentucky and Nancy Ferguson of Elnora, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. David Wirth will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Boulevard, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
