Roy Lynn Bruce

Roy Lynn Bruce, age 66 of Georgetown, Ohio died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a retired assembler for General Motors for 32 years, a lifelong farmer and a member of the Shinkles Ridge Church near Georgetown, Ohio. He loved being a Pappy to his grandchildren and spending time with family. Enjoyed family vacations including shark fishing trips with his boys and Captain Joey. He liked going on yard sale trips, watching old black and white cowboy shows, going to stockyards and working on his farm. Roy was always making people laugh by being a jokester. Many times he would say he wanted a good cold beer and to take a good chew. He was one of a kind. Roy was born September 18, 1950 outside of Higginsport, Ohio the son of the late Charles and Gladys (Adams) Bruist.

Roy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pam (Garrison) Bruce whom he married May 17, 1974; three sons – Chad Bruce and wife Lynette, Ryan Bruce and wife Joney and Todd Bruce all of Georgetown, Ohio; four grandchildren – Toby Ray-Lynn, Emerson Levi, Everleigh Grace and Everett Liam Bruce; one brother – Roger Bruce and wife Melanie of Georgetown, Ohio; two sisters – Mary Haas of Bethel, Ohio and Loretta Hamilton of Georgetown, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law – Melinda Dunkin and husband Steve, Sandra Bowling and husband Kenon and Mary Garrison all of Georgetown, Ohio and Jerry Garrison and wife Joanne of Port St. Lucie, Florida; one uncle – Carl Adams of Batavia, Ohio and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Jason Galley will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
