Ruth H. Kirschner
July 17, 1919 — August 15, 2004
Mrs. Ruth H. Kirschner, age 85, of Higginsport, Ohio died Sunday, August 15, 2004 at her residence. She was a 1937 graduate of Ripley High School and married Charles (Steve) Kirschner in 1939. They have resided in Higginsport for the past fifty-one years where she was a homemaker. Mrs. Kirschner was born July 17, 1919 in Ripley, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert Helm and Maud (Garrett) Wilson. She was also preceded in death by one brother - John Robert Wilson, one sister - Ruby Gast Lewis, one daughter-in-law - Lula Kirschner and one brother-in-law - William (Bill) Gast.
Mrs. Kirschner is survived by her husband - Charles (Steve) Kirschner; four sons - John S. Kirschner of Higginsport, Ohio, Gary "Nick" Kirschner of Red Oak, Ohio, Fred Kirschner and wife, Bonita, of Higginsport, Ohio and Joe Kirschner and wife, Julie, of Bethel, Ohio; four daughters - Wilma Stutz and husband, Hubie, of Felicity, Ohio, Ruth (Sissy Hines) Thompson and husband, Dwight, of Higginsport, Ohio, Wanda Prater and husband, Larry, of Ripley, Ohio and Linda Woollard and husband, Tim, of Russellville, Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren - Donna Sue Adams, Mickey Gelter, David, Doug and Rob Stutz, Angie Tolin, Charlie, Johnny, Karen, Lois, Cheryl, Joe, Jason, Missy, Kali and Cody Kirschner, Philip "Tuck", Melanie and Emmylou Hines, Neil Poole and Clinton Woollard; eight step grandchildren - Jill McKee, Amy Adkins, Denise Werline, Alicia Poynter, Marie Lynnott, Brian Thompson, Jessica and Kyle Woollard; twenty-five great grandchildren, ten step great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. David Wirth will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Hope, 415 1/2 Home Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
