It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Sally J. Benintendi, age 89 of Cincinnati, Ohio and formerly of Georgetown, Ohio on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Sally was surrounded by the love of her devoted husband and cherished children as she embarked on her final journey. She was born November 20, 1936 in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio the beloved daughter of the late James Knox and Margaret Grace (Jones) Hansee. Sally was a proud graduate of the Christ Hospital College of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse before devoting herself entirely to her family. She served as President of the Georgetown Exempted Village School Board during the 1980s. Her dedication to education and the community was evident through her years of service, reflecting her commitment to supporting local students, families and the community she loved. Sally was also known for her passion for playing bridge and cherished the gatherings with her friends and former high school classmates. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and acceptance, where all were welcome and her acts of kindness extended far beyond her immediate family. Sally touched the lives of many with her unwavering generosity and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know her. Her life was a testament to love, kindness and the simple joys of family and friendship. Sally’s legacy will live on in the hearts and lives of those she touched and she will be deeply missed by all. Her loving spirit will continue to be celebrated by her surviving family and countless friends and neighbors. Besides her parents, Sally was preceded in death by four siblings - John Bob Taylor, Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Lorance, Mary Margaret Hansee and James K. Hansee.

Mrs. Benintendi is survived by the love of her life of 63 wonderful years - Robert S. Benintendi whom she married June 29, 1963. Their union was blessed with six children - Robert F. Benintendi (Laurie), Christopher A. Benintendi (Jill), Kelly E. Misleh (Mike), John K. Benintendi (Nicole), Steven W. Benintendi (Jessica) and Brian S. Benintendi (Amy). Her legacy of love extends to her eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by two nephews - Steve Hansee and Frank Fimmano and one niece - Judy Aquilla.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 4473 Mount Carmel-Tobasco Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45244. Fr. Del Staigers will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at T.P. White Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45230 under the direction of Cahall Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Sally's enduring love and generosity.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Cottages of Dupree for their exceptional care during Sally's stay and Cahall Funeral Home for their compassion and support. The Benintendi family would also like to express their deepest appreciation to all who knew and loved Sally, with special thanks to the Gardner family - Herb, Betty, Larry and Lynn—for their unwavering friendship and support.
