Sam Edward Debord

Sam Edward DeBord, age 86 of Williamsburg, Ohio died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Arden Courts of Anderson in Anderson Township, Ohio. He was an inspector for the Ford Motor Company, a farmer, a member of the Farm Bureau, a member of the Clermont Social Lodge #29 F&AM and a United States Army National Guard veteran. Sam was born September 29, 1929 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky the son of the late Charles C. and Birdie (Brummett) DeBord. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers – Delbert, Felix, Arthur and John Jay DeBoard; five sisters – Pearlie DeBord, Myrtle Howard, Rena Osborne, Lula Ann Wallin and Betty Moore and one son-in-law – Donald Joe Dixon.

Mr. DeBord is survived by his wife – Betty (Ballard) DeBord; two daughters – Susan Dixon of Williamsburg, Ohio and Nancy Coscia and husband Brian of Neward, Ohio; two sons – Bruce DeBord of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mark DeBord and wife Tina of Mt. Orab, Ohio; two granddaughters – Samantha Sheppard and husband Michael of Fayetteville, Ohio and Rebecca DeBord of Mt. Orab, Ohio; one grandson  Tad Alan Greer, US Marine Corp.; two great grandsons – Ty Edward and Jay Marcus Sheppard both of Fayetteville, Ohio; one brother – Alfred DeBoard and wife Hazel of Williamsburg, Ohio; three sisters – Marie Alsip and husband Carl of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jewel Haarmann and husband John of Brodhead, Kentucky and Birdie Albright and husband Joseph of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and one sister-in-law – Carol DeBoard of Brodhead, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the funeral home with masonic services at 7:30 P.M. Interment will be in the Williamsburg Cemetery in Williamsburg, Ohio.
