Sammy Dean Gregory

Sammy D. Gregory, age 70 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Gregory was a truck driver for the Sardinia Concrete Company and a Vietnam Army veteran. He was born March 9, 1946 in Newport, Tennessee the son of the late Jerome and Mable (Long) Gregory. He was also preceded in death by four brothers – Bill, Dave, Teddy and Charles Gregory and two sisters – Jo Ann Foust and Gladys Evans.

Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife of forty-five years – Mary (Helbling) Gregory, whom he married March 31, 1971; two sons – Michael Gregory and wife Kim (Roberts) of Georgetown, Ohio and Eric Gregory and wife Dawn (Fender) of Lake Waynoka, Ohio; five grandchildren – Jerrod, Jackson, Hailey, Hannah and Kenna Gregory; one brother – Jack Gregory and wife Janie of Richmond, Kentucky; two sisters – Margaret Kiser and husband Gary of Lake Waynoka, Ohio and Brenda Faye Gregory of Winchester, Ohio and many other friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio. Vernon Green will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Ash Ridge Cemetery in Ash Ridge, Ohio with veteran services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post # 180. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
