Shirley Hurley

Shirley Mae Hurley, age 81 of Mt. Orab, Ohio died Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the Villa Georgetown Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She was born February 7, 1945 in Wolfe County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Paul and Devonia (Wilson) Vance. Shirley was a dedicated homemaker who found great joy in creating a warm and loving home for her family and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart and steadfast faith left a lasting impression on her family, friends and all who knew her. Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years – Roy Hurley in 2002, whom she married April 15, 1961; one son - Tim Hurley in 2017 and one sister – Judy Ellen Turley.

Mrs. Hurley is survived by two sons – Leroy Hurley and wife Beth of Goshen, Ohio and Tom Hurley of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter – Jennifer Wallace and husband Barry of Mt. Orab, Ohio; three grandchildren – Brandon Hurley and Lane and Wyatt Sexton; two sisters – Paulette Congleton of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Dorothy George of Jeffersonville, Kentucky and one brother – Darrell Vance of Wickenburg, Arizona.

Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at the convenience of the family. David Warren will officiate. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
