Stanley Earl Martt

Stanley Earl Martt, age 85 of Georgetown, Ohio died Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. Mr. Martt was a graduate of Morehead State University and a life long educator, having taught in the Olive Hill High School in Olive Hill, Kentucky for five years and the Georgetown Exempted Village Schools in Georgetown, Ohio for thirty years. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Martt was born January 13, 1935 in Hayes Branch, Kentucky, the son of the late Stanley Estel and Stella Ann (Stewart) Martt. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Martt is survived by his wife of sixty-four years – Judy Marie (Clark) Martt whom he married November 22, 1956; three daughters – Judy E. Wiseman and husband John of Yorktown, Virginia, Ginger D. Ring of Amelia, Ohio and Jennifer L. Floyd and husband Jim of Williamsburg, Ohio; six grandchildren – Michela (Kelly) Miller, Lyndsey Miller McKibben and husband Chad, Joel Ring and wife Meghan, Jeremy Ring, Lauren Ring and fiancé Nick Carderelli and Jerrod Wiseman and wife Kayla; five great grandchildren – Elsie Ring, Jackson Ring, John Carderelli and Josie and Jase McKibben; one sister – Doris Aline Fournier and husband Gary of Warwick, Rhode Island and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with Military Services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180. During the visitation and funeral service, social distancing will be observed and facial coverings will be required.
