Stanley A. Sroufe, Jr

Stanley Alexander Sroufe, Jr., age 77 of Columbus, Ohio, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Ohio University East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was a retired zoology professor at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and was also a farmer. Mr. Sroufe was born on April 21, 1928 in Dover, KY. The son of the late Stanley Alexander and Florence Delores (Board) Sroufe, Sr.. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Ross and Victoria Elaine Sroufe.

Mr. Sroufe is survived by three sisters - Doris Jenkins of Atlanta, Georgia, Linda Allen of Atlanta, Georgia and Jacqueline Wallace of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers - Ronald Sroufe of Columbus, Ohio, Gordon Sroufe of Galloway, Ohio and Louis William Sroufe of Georgetown, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 25, 2005 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Clarence Wallace will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
