Steven Wood

Steven Wood, 47 of Ripley, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at his home. He was born September 1, 1978 in Newport, Kentucky the son of the late Brenda Hughes Chance. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather – Paul Schroth and his grandmother – Jean Pollitt.

Steven is survived by his wife – Rebecca Hamilton Wood; two children – Savannah Wood of Fairborn, Ohio and Ethan Wood of Bethel, Ohio; a sister – Jessica Blanton of Owenton, Kentucky and a brother – Jamie Hughes of Arizona.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Pastor David Benjamin will officiate. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Thursday.
