Teresa Ann Johnson, age 52 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 26, 1973 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of Raymond David Shipman and Patricia (Vaughn) Shipman. Teresa was a dedicated member of her community and a cherished individual who touched the lives of many. A 1991 graduate of Georgetown High School, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northern Kentucky University in 2005. Throughout her career, she served as a registered nurse, dedicating many years to Stein Hospice and most recently at the Anderson Mercy Hospital Surgery Center. Her compassion and commitment to her patients were evident in her work, as she consistently provided care with warmth and dedication. Known for her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter and comforting smile, Tersea had a unique ability to make those around her feel valued and cared for. She treasured moments spent with family and friends, relishing vacations, theater outings at the Cincinnati Aronoff to enjoy various performances and enjoying dining-out experiences. As a devoted mother, she embraced her role with love and joy wholeheartedly, creating precious memories with her daughter. In addition to her personal passions, Teresa developed an affinity for the Cincinnati Bengals, a love that blossomed through her relationship with Chad. She found joy in cheering for the team, a testament to her ability to embrace new experiences with enthusiasm. Teresa was an active attendee of the Georgetown Church of Christ where she found comfort in scripture and praise. Her legacy of love, kindness, compassion and commitment to those around her will be deeply missed but fondly remembered and will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents – Raymond and Dorothy Shipman, maternal grandparents – Roy and Maudie Vaughn, step-father – Rusty Draper, one brother – Nathan Draper and one aunt – Diane Doyle.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving husband of 17 years – Chad A. Johnson whom she married March 29, 2008; one daughter – Emma Johnson; father – Raymond David Shipman and wife Carolyn of Georgetown, Ohio; mother – Patty Shipman of Georgetown, Ohio; father-in-law – Jerry Johnson and wife Debbie of Alabama; mother-in-law – Cindy Johnson of Georgetown, Ohio; four brothers and sisters – David Shipman and wife Susan of Batavia, Ohio, Brandy Draper and fiancé Patrick Krasucki of Hamersville, Ohio, Casey Frazier and husband Johnny of Georgetown, Ohio and Tyler Draper and wife Taylor of Georgetown, Ohio; one step-brother – Jade Bowman and wife Brenda of Goshen, Ohio; one step-sister – Tonja Grothouse and husband Mark of Dayton, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousin and many special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 25, 2025 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. Jason Galley and Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
