Thomas Henry Cluxton

Thomas Henry Cluxton, age 74, of Ripley, Ohio departed this earth on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  He was a farmer, cattleman, beloved husband, cherished father, and adored grandfather.

Tom was born December 6, 1941 to Clarence (Jake) and Mildred Cluxton.  He had five sisters--Ruthie (late Fred) McFarland, Betty (Bob) Sherer, Linda Cluxton, Debbie (Kim) Hedges, Sandy (Larry) Schumann.

Mr. Cluxton held several prestigious affiliations in recent years, including board member for Brown County USDA Farm Service Agency, Brown County Senior Fair Board, past board member for the Southern States Co-Op and was a member of the Brown County Cattlemans, The Ohio Cattlemens Association, Brown County Farm Bureau and was a member of the Ripley Church of the Nazarene.

Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years.  Tom and Marilyn would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on October 29, 2016.   Besides his loving wife Marilyn, Tom is survived by three sons--Jeff Cluxton and wife Patricia of Ripley, Ohio, Chris Cluxton and wife Sherri of Georgetown, Ohio, and Todd Cluxton and wife Rachel of Ripley, Ohio; eight grandchildren--Casey Taylor, Justin Cluxton, Jared Cluxton, Cameron Cluxton, Drew Baughey, Carter Cluxton, Kenley Cluxton, and Presley Cluxton; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016, from 4:00-8:00P.M. at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, at 1:00P.M. at the Ripley Church of the Nazarene. Clark Castle will officiate.  Interment will follow the funeral service in Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley.
