Thomas E. Fist

Thomas Edward Fist, age 74 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Anderson Township, Ohio. He was born February 14, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Johnny Stanley and Evelyn (Waterman) Fist. Tom was a retired forklift operator for Jefferson Smurfit Packing Company and a member of the AFL-CIO Paper Works Union. In his leisure time, he found joy in go-cart racing and playing video games, passions that brought him much happiness. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and looked forward to each game with great enthusiasm. Tom's strong sense of patriotism embodied his love for his country, which was evident in all aspects of his life. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his commitment to family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Sheila D. (Neal) Fist in 2016 whom he married September 2, 1972, two half-brothers – Ronnie Young and Charles Ike Fist and two brothers-in-law – Dana Neal and David Neal.

Mr. Fist is survived by three children - Parrish H. “T.J” Fist and wife Terri of Winchester, Ohio, Mickey E. Fist and wife Jenny of Georgetown, Ohio and Desiree D. Lang and husband Terry Lang of Russellville, Ohio; six grandchildren – Zach Downing of Sardinia, Ohio, Shelby Fist of Peebles, Ohio, Reece Fist of Winchester, Ohio, Ava Fist of Mowrystown, Ohio, Brant Brown and wife Chelsia, US Navy, North Carolina and Hunter Brown of Russellville, Ohio; five great grandchildren – Nova and Tidus Unger, Bella Burton, Lillian and Amelia Dixon and Eleanor McFarland; special sister-in-law – Maggie Fist of Georgetown, Ohio; six brothers and sisters-in-law – William Neal and wife Betty of Mt.Orab, Ohio, Wendell Neal and wife Sharon of Sardinia, Ohio, Linda Poole and husband Jerry of Sardinia, Ohio, Christine Neal of Mowrystown, Ohio, Paul Neal and wife Lisa of Winchester, Ohio and Donna Orr and husband Rick of Sardinia, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. David Benjamin will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Arnheim, Ohio.
