Travis Brooks Reid
July 7, 1969 — April 10, 2005
Travis Brooks Reid, age 35, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Travis was a graduate of Turpin High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and a veteran of the US Navy, serving from 1990 - 1994 in Desert Shield - Desert Storm Gulf War aboard the aircraft carrier, John F. Kennedy. He was born July 7, 1969 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of Rodney Brooks and Barbara (Liming) Reid. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Lester Brooks Reid and maternal grandfather, Ernest Richard Liming.
Travis is survived by his parents, Rodney and Barbara Reid of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister - Kelly Renee Reid of Cincinnati, Ohio; three children - Justin Brooks, Zachary Ryan and Ashley Marie Reid, of Amelia, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Marguerite Lucas Reid Milligan of Georgetown, Ohio; maternal grandmother - Gladys Newman Liming of Georgetown, Ohio and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Georgetown Church of Christ. Rev. Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Friday evening at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Georgetown Church of Christ or the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180.
