Velcie Eileen Mckenzie

Velcie Eileen McKenzie, age 64 of Ripley, Ohio, died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church of God in Bethel, Ohio. Mrs. McKenzie was born March 5, 1948 in Brown County, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Schuler) Flaugher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Thomas McKenzie; one son, Robert Lee McKenzie; three brothers - Harry Schuler, Jim Flaugher and Leslie "Pinky" Flaugher.

Mrs. McKenzie is survived by three daughters - Bessie Hinson of Russellville, Ohio, Mary Davenport of Ripley, Ohio and Peggy Nolen of Vanceburg, Kentucky; two sons - Thomas McKenzie and James McKenzie, both of Ripley; six grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; two sisters - Viola Sluder of Hamersville, Ohio and Brenda Green of Higginsport, Ohio; six brothers - George Flaugher of Felicity, Ohio, Billy "Bimbo" Flaugher of Higginsport, Ohio, Freddie Flaugher of Hamersville, Ohio, Mike Flaugher of Ripley, Ohio, John Flaugher of Aberdeen, Ohio and Frank Flaugher of Ripley, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Larry Baker will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening, June 19 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
