Virginia Mae (Johnson) Laney
December 7, 1931 — June 19, 2019
Virginia Mae Laney, age 87 of Georgetown, Ohio died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky. She was a homemaker, a member of the Bible Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher and was an avid bowler. Virginia was born December 7, 1931 in Clinchloe, Virginia the daughter of the late Hobert and Nannie (Moore) Johnson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – Basil Laney; three brothers – Sanford, Hershel and Jerry Johnson and one sister – Christine Kern.
Mrs. Laney is survived by her children – Jenny Castle and husband Richard of Williamsburg, Ohio, Brenda Laney of Georgetown, Ohio, Jack Laney and wife Romah of Amelia, Ohio and Scott Laney and wife Debbie of Loveland, Ohio; three brothers – Jack Johnson of Ripley, Ohio, Carl Johnson of Ohio and Gary Johnson of Kentucky; one sister – Marlene Johnson of Tennessee; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
