Walter "Dan" Daniel Miller

Walter “Dan” Daniel Miller, age 61 of Ripley, Ohio died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio surrounded by his family. He was a business owner, welder, and former Mayor for the Village of Hamersville. Dan was a motorcycle enthusiast, fisherman, carpenter and lifelong learner. Music surrounded his home and helped instill a love of many genres in his children. Recently, you could find him outside the old schoolhouse he restored tending to his organic garden, his bees or chickens he affectionately called his “girls”. The smell of one of his delicious meal would greet you as you climbed up his porch steps along with his smiles and hugs. Dan was born April 3, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Henry and June (Penny) Miller.

Mr. Miller is survived by his loving life partner of 19 years– Jennifer Abner, whom he shared with his business and hobby adventures; four children – Emily (Ethan Wirick) Thompson of Sherwood, Ohio, Kristan (Cory) Cover of Georgetown, Ohio, Benjamin (Rachel) Miller of Columbus, Ohio and Elizabeth (Joshua) Creech of Batavia, Ohio and fourteen grandchildren – Ethan and Caden Thompson, Esther and Oliver Wirick, Kayli, Logan, Naomi and Micah Cover, Owen and Elijah Miller and Liam, Zachariah, Joel and Margaret Creech; two brothers – Thomas Miller of Milford, Ohio and Glenn (Sharon) Miller of Cynthiana, Ohio; one sister – Jean (Miller) Bernhardt of Mt.Orab, Ohio and nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Dan Ashe will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
