Wayne Gardner

F. Wayne Gardner, age 100 of Georgetown, Ohio, formerly of Hamersville, Ohio died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Gardner was a resident at the Meadowwood Nursing Home. He was a farmer and a painter for Globe Wernike. Mr. Gardner was born on December 17, 1906 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Charles R. and Nettie (Dunn) Gardner. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Virginia (Hurdle) Gardner in 1980; one brother - Philip Arthur Gardner; two sisters - Mabel Clifton and Myrl Gardner who passed away at the young age of sixteen and one son-in-law - Robert Waterfield in 1997.

Mr. Gardner is survived by one daughter - Janice Waterfield of Hamersville, Ohio; two grandchildren - Kenneth Waterfield and wife Althea and Linda West and husband Kenneth all of Hamersville, Ohio; five great grandchildren - Steve Waterfield, Carolyn Karagerorges and husband Terry, Mike Waterfield and wife Kristina, Jason West and Alyssa Eubanks and husband Shelby.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mike Starkey will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
