Wayne Scott Ratliff, age 84 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born June 22, 1941 in Washington, Kentucky the son of the late Marion Elmer and Icy (Adams) Ratliff. Wayne was a proud United States Army veteran. He was a dedicated lime mine worker for the Dravo Corporation. Throughout his life, he found joy in gardening, camping and fishing. However, the greatest treasure of his life was his family, who meant the world to him. Wayne leaves cherished memories that will be embraced by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love and dedication will forever remain in our hearts. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son – Anthony “Tony” Ratliff in 2017 and one brother – Wilburn Ratliff.
Mr. Ratliff is survived by his loving wife of 63 years – Judy (Carrington) Ratliff whom he married July 24, 1962; two children – Tracy McKenzie and husband Robin of Georgetown, Ohio and Daniel Ratliff and wife Tabitha of Georgetown, Ohio; three grandchildren – Meranda Mckenzie, Cierra Ratliff Dillow and husband Chancey and Cody Ratliff and fiancé Brittany Barber; eight great grandchildren – Bradley Souder and wife Paige, Jace, Jax and Jasiah Gardner, Oakleigh Ratliff, Mason Royalty, Levi Ratliff and Easton Ratliff; two great-great grandchildren - Ryder and McKenzie Souder; four brothers – Ronnie Ratliff and wife Bonnie and Gene Ratliff both of Georgetown, Ohio; Bill Ratliff and wife Anita of Tollesboro, Kentucky and Denver Ratliff and wife Kathy of Mobile, Alabama; one sister – Joyce Kendall of Tollesboro, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Cynthia Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
