Welda Earl List, Jr

Welda Earl List, Jr., age 77 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at his residence, after a long struggle with cancer. Mr. List was a retired long distance truck driver for Complete Auto Transit of Moraine, Ohio, a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ in Georgetown, Ohio and a Teamsters Union # 100 member. He and his wife, Ella Jane were members of SOWERS, (Servants on wheels ever ready), volunteering at churches and camps for children, doing construction and repairs as needed. They worked on fifteen projects from 1999 until 2002 throughout Florida, Texas, Arizona, California and Michigan. Jr. was born on May 17, 1931 near Ripley, Ohio, the son of the late Welda Earl, Sr. and Ollie Gladys (Snyder) List.

Mr. List is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Ella Jane (Scaggs) List; three children - Beverly Hughes of Felicity, Ohio; Mickey Ray List, Sr. and wife Mary Ann of Ripley, Ohio and Danielle Warner and husband Mark of Georgetown, Ohio; seven grandchildren - Bryan Hughes, Mickey List, Jr., Mindy Obermeyer, Jane Ann Warner, Justin List, Josette Warner and Nicole Warner; five great-grandchildren; one brother - William List of Ripley, Ohio; one sister - Ada Daulton of Ripley, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Georgetown Church of Christ in Georgetown, Ohio. Kevin Whitsett and Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio 45121 or to Crossroads Hospice, Charitable Foundation, 4360 Glendale-Milford Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
