William "Bill" Delmore Rea, age 89 of Mt. Orab, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 at his residence. He was born December 4, 1936 in Concord, Kentucky the son of the late Roy and Lula (Fetters) Rea. His life was marked by dedicated service to both his country and his community. William proudly served in the Air Force during the tense years of the Cold War, a commitment that reflects his deep sense of duty and patriotism. His time in the military was a defining chapter, embodying courage and steadfastness. Following his honorable service, William applied his skills and work ethic as an electrician, undertaking maintenance for Butternut Bread for thirteen years. William leaves behind a legacy rooted in hard work and service. His contributions, both as a veteran and as a skilled tradesman, remain a testament to a life lived with purpose and integrity. His memory will be held in high esteem by those who knew him and by the wider community touched by his efforts. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law – Heidi Rea.

Mr. Rea is survived by his loving wife of nearly 31 years – Dixie L. (Walker) Rea, whom he married on June 17, 1995; one son – Michael David Rea and fiancée Lana Lewis of Deer Park, Ohio; two grandchildren - Kari Rea (Mike) of Batavia, Ohio and Tina Rea (Ryan) of West Chester, Ohio; six great-grandchildren – Layla, Hana, Sophia, Stiles, Forrest and Kylie and one sister – Phyllis Jean Hamilton of Bloomington, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Williamsburg Cemetery in Williamsburg, Ohio with military honors by the Carey Bavis American Legion #180 of Georgetown, Ohio.
